We need your help! |
At Puppet Showplace Theatre we work hard to keep our expenses down, and our budget is quite modest compared to similar Boston Area Cultural organizations. Even so, because we endeavor to keep ticket prices low enough so that families of varying means may attend, ticket sales and earned income provide only about half of the income we need to operate the theatre. The rest must be made up through grants and individual donations. These days most grants are awarded only for what the granting foundations consider "special projects", and we apply for that type of grant whenever possible. However, since the vast majority of our costs are associated with our core activitythe extensive weekly programming we provide we must appeal to our patrons and friends for the additional funding needed to keep the theatre operating. To put this in perspective, each year we must raise approximately $100,000 from gifts and grants; nearly $2,000 a week. Since all of our fundraising is done by the same friendly, but small, staff that takes your reservation over the phone and books the shows, this is a daunting task. In order to ensure that Puppet Showplace Theatre will survive this difficult fundraising climate and thrive to delight families for many years to come, wont you help us now? Gifts of any size are very much appreciated, and tax deductable. Donations may be made by check, by credit card (VISA, Master Card, or American Express), or by placing a gift in the donation jar in our theatre lobby. Our staff wil be most happy to provide you with a receipt for the IRS. Donate online through the Catalogue for Philanthropy! |
