Mid Winter Magic
The story was about two kids, a boy named Bruce and a girl
named Marylou. They want to stay up all night for the winter
solstice, but they fall asleep. And they have this wonderful
dream about magical things.
There's this Snow Sprite, Katrika, and she gives gives them
this magic egg and if they open it up it will show them them
all the secrets of their entire lives. They want to at first
but then they say "no" because there would be no more
surprises in their lives.
When they wake up they talk to each other about their dreams
and they're very surprised that they had the exact same dream.
In the corner of the room they find the magic egg that was
in their dream, and after they look at it, they see that the
fireplace has been lit. They said that neither of them had
lit it. Then, they remembered that the Snow Sprite had sent
a spark to light their fire!
Then, now that they realized that it was real magic. They
yelled to their parents, "Mom! Dad! There's magic in the
living room!" And they decided not to open the egg.
And now I'll say what is cool about the show:
I liked how when they were yelling to their parents their
voices got lower and lower as they were going downstairs.
I also liked when there was a fairy that kept getting
bigger and bigger until one of the puppeteers had to get
into a costume of the fairy and come out on stage and
into the crowd.
I liked the peguins! It was very funny! It's good for little
kids who are learning to count.
Some of the music was weird. Some of it made you feel like
dancing. It also made you feel happy. And some made you
feel like you were in a time machine.
The voices of the puppeteers really sounded like real kids.
From one to ten I would rate this show a nine. I would
recommend it for kids ages seven years and under.
