Showplace Theatre News
Summer is really heating up at the Puppet
Showplace Theatre...
|
Celebrations
This summer the Puppet Showplace Theatre will recognize two of our
"family" members.
On June 9th, at the Puppet Showplace 33rd Birthday Party, we will
celebrate our former Operations Manager Heather Balchunas and her
contributions to the theatre. Members are welcome to attend this
celebration. Please call the theatre for more information.
In August we will also recognize our Artist-in-Residence Paul
Vincent Davis and his 30 year commitment to the Showplace. We
will recognize Paul with a trip down memory lane, toasts to the
Puppet Master, and a very special honor.
Staff Promotions
While it is sad to have said goodbye to Heather, our long time
Operations Manger, we are happy to announce some promotions
among the theatre staff.
Hollie Fleming our former Box Office Manager has been promoted
to Operations Manager. Two of our box office staff members have
new positions: Emily Piper has been appointed as the new Box
Office Manager and Jill Domings as new the Technical Director.
Please congratulate them on their new titles when you're in the
theatre.
Shows on Summer Sundays
This summer we will try to cool your Sunday afternoons by
welcoming you to the theatre for a puppet show.
For July and August we introduce Sunday performances at 1:00 pm.
Some of our weekend artists will be Deborah Costine, Poobley
Greegy Puppet Theatre, Michael Graham, and Tanglewood
Marionettes.
Call the Box Office to reserve your tickets and book your
summer Birthday Parties.
Matching Grant Goal Met
We did it! This year we met our goal in raising $10,000 to
match a grant provided by the Brookline Community Foundation.
With all your help and financial contributions the Puppet

you and staff time to support the shows. We are all benefiting
from the additional funds!
