Welcome to Our New Executive DirectorThis Season the Puppet Showplace Theatre is very pleased to welcome a new member of the staff, Executive Director, Kris Higgins. He brings nonprofit management experience to the Showplace, having recently managed a federally funded AmeriCorps national service program benefiting young children. Kris has also served on the executive board of directors of a nonprofit theater in North Carolina. With support from the wonderful staff, dedicated board, and enthusiastic volunteers, Kris looks forward to helping the Puppet Showplace Theatre grow and to continue to ensure excellence in puppetry for all audiences. ...And in Kris's own words : "After an extensive career as a freelance super hero, I have decided to hang up my cape and work for the benefit of puppet-kind. I will spend my time at PST fighting for the rights of puppets, and working to provide them with a higher quality of life. I truly believe that all puppets should be liberated from their manual oppressors. My favorite color is green, and I like long walks on the beach with my dog." Congrats Frogtown Mountain PuppeteersWe are very happy to be welcoming recent UNIMA Citation Recipients Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers and their show "Everybody Loves Pirates".
