We are closed Christmas Day then return with another classic fairy tale Hansel and Gretel by the Tanglewood Marionettes.

We welcome back ventriloquist Sylvia Markson with The Magic Trunk December 28th & 29th.

Lastly on the 30th, PST will end our vacation week schedule with Midwinter Magic by the Gerwick Puppets. This will be the first time ever that "Midwinter Magic" has performed on our stage.

First Night Boston 2007

Happy New Year!

Be sure that you get your First Night 2007 buttons and see our performers, Magpie Puppets and the Gerwick Puppets, at the Hynes Convention Center Sunday afternoon.

You can also see some of our friends who are involved in the New Years Festivities elsewhere throughout the day: the Puppeteers' Cooperative, Wayne Martin Puppets, Spontaneous Celebrations, and The Underground Railway Theater.

World Premiere Performance

Artist-In-Residence, Paul Vincent Davis, will be premiering his new show, titled Here Come the Clowns! the first weekend in January.

Please join us for the Gala event to showcase the new show and applaud Paul for his spectacular career as a puppet performer.

"Here Come the Clowns!" is an original production conceptualized, constructed, and performed by Paul Vincent Davis. The show also showcases the skills of Bonnie Duncan as director and Alison Plante as composer. These three artists have created a show intended for preschool aged children which draws inspiration from the world of colorful clowns.

As always please don't forget to call and make your reservations!

If you're not able to make the World Premiere Weekend, no worries, Paul will perform "Here Come the Clowns!" in our TOT performance schedule January 31st & February 1st at 10:30 am.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In observance of the MLK Jr. Holiday the Puppet Showplace Theatre is presenting Under Night Sky by PuppetKabob Productions.

"Under Night Sky" is a production that combines tabletop puppetry and shadows into a visually magical show.

A grandmother shares stories with her granddaughter as illustrated in a patchwork quilt. Discover stories of the Underground Railway and how the stars led to freedom.

Animals in WinterWinter Wonderful Performance

The Farmers' Almanac predicts "Shivery is not dead," indicating cold weather throughout New England. Let's celebrate the winter forecast with a PST premiere performance of Animals in Winter by Deb Hertzberg.

This is a shadow puppet production created for the Bruce Museum in Connecticut illustrating the life of New England native animals during the coldest months of the year.

Come inside, out of the cold and learn how to stay warm and entertained when the temperature drops outside.

Thank You

Without the generous support of friends, donors and volunteers, this theatre could not continue bringing the wonder of puppetry to more than 24,000 guests each year. We wish you a happy, healthy, safe and creative New Year.
