About the Show

The Shoemaker and the Elves tells the classic story of a humble shoemaker in trouble: his holiday deadline is fast approaching and there's no way he'll be able to make all the shoes in time! Luckily, there are elves nearby who just might be able to lend a hand... This delightful hand puppet production is followed by a selection of Martin’s award-winning “large-scale” holiday-themed trick marionette vignettes in Holly Days.

All ages welcome, recommended for 2+

About the Artist

Wayne Martin with his holiday-themed marionettes.

Puppeteer Wayne Martin has created award winning television and film productions, worked with Sid and Marty Krofft and Jim Henson’s Muppets, and had his talents profiled by the international news media. His touring shows feature “large-scale” trick marionettes in vignettes of comedy and pathos that combines sensory overloads of color, music, and roller-coaster pacing, without age or language barriers. Martin has toured Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. He performs hundreds of times a year across the United States with his act that has appeared with such established artists as Bob Hope, Randy Newman, Dolly Parton, The 5th Dimension, and The Temptations.
