Birthday Party Planning Guide + Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Planning your party:
Puppet Showplace requires at least 1 adult for every 5 children.
You may arrive 30 minutes before showtime to set up
Your guests should arrive 15 minutes before showtime
Guests can be seated late if necessary.
The total number of guests should not exceed 50 people in total including children and adults.
Please let us know ASAP if your group size has changed.
Clean up must begin at least 10 minutes before the stated end time.
Puppet Showplace will provide:
A private puppet show performance for you and your guests.
An opportunity to announce the birthday before or after the show.
Use of our lobby until the stated end time.
Two buffet-style tables, bench seating in the lobby, tablecloths, basic paper plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and a birthday banner
Staff to clean up, break down, and usher.
The customer will provide:
Any food and refreshments.
Any desired decorations. (Glitter, confetti and pinatas are not allowed and all helium balloons must be weighted.)
You are responsible for supervision of children at all times.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy for Private Birthday Parties
We understand that circumstances may change! We strive to be flexible in working with you to accommodate your needs, while also allowing our artists and staff to maintain the quality of our services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to the following policies.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation is defined as forgoing the event completely. If you wish to reschedule instead of canceling, please see below for our rescheduling policy. In cases of cancellation, the appropriate refund, if any, will be provided within 30 days from the date of cancellation.
Cancellation with more than 30 days notice:
If you need to cancel your event with more than 30 days notice, Puppet Showplace will refund you 50% of your total cost.
Cancellation with less than 30 days notice:
If you need to cancel your event with less than 30 days notice, Puppet Showplace will refund 25% of your total cost.
Cancellation with two weeks or less notice:
If you need to cancel your event with two weeks’ notice or less, Puppet Showplace is unable to offer any refund.
Rescheduling policy:
We strive to be flexible in helping you make alternative arrangements when necessary, and we offer the following options to reschedule your private event or field trip. Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be availability to reschedule your event, especially if it is during peak demand periods.
In the event that no mutually agreeable rescheduling arrangement can be made, you will have the option to proceed with the event as originally booked, or elect to cancel the event. If you elect to cancel, the cancellation will be treated as described in the Cancellation Policy, above.
Request to reschedule with 30 days notice or more:
Puppet Showplace will attempt to reschedule your event at a mutually agreeable date with a rescheduling fee of $100, subject to theater and artist availability.
Request to reschedule with less than 30 days notice:
Puppet Showplace will be unable to reschedule or offer a refund.
In the event of cancellation initiated by Puppet Showplace:
We strive to ensure that every scheduled event takes place as planned. However, in rare cases, circumstances may arise that necessitate the cancellation of the private event by the theater.
In the event that we need to cancel the event, we will provide you with as much advance notice as possible, considering the nature of the circumstances.
If the theater cancels the event, we will offer you the following options:
a. Rescheduling: We will work with you to find an alternative date and time that suits your convenience, at no additional cost.
b. Providing an alternate performance: In the event that your scheduled artist is unable to perform (for example, due to injury, illness, etc.) Puppet Showplace may offer you an alternate artist/performance.
c. Full Refund: We will refund the entire amount you have paid for the event, including the deposit, within 30 days from the date of cancellation.
Please understand that the theater's cancellation of the event is a rare occurrence, and we will make every effort to avoid such situations. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, we will promptly communicate with you, provide suitable alternatives, and issue refunds as outlined above.
