About the Workshop

Do you like moving mouth puppets? You do!? Have you always liked the idea of making one? You have!? Do you absolutely hate the idea of patterns, pattern-making, and sewing? You do!? Well, this workshop is clearly for you!

Armed with a trusty glue gun, you will learn the basics of Nate Puppets’ personal puppet making techniques, including foam sculpture, fabric patching, on-the-fly changes, and "the secret crust."

The result: your very own, one-of-a-kind sculpted sock puppet! And you’ll walk away richer with tips and techniques for larger puppets and beyond. It's going to be a great time and beginners and advanced builders are welcome and encouraged to attend. And, you can come prepared with your drawn designs and ideas — but no worries if you don’t!

Recommended for adults 18+

About the Instructor

Nate Puppets was born in Cleveland, and raised on a diet of fine art and absolute trash. A certified dirt eater and award-winning loud mouth, Nate works hard to make their fuzzy, funky, and fabulous creations burn deep into the deepest recesses of your mind. With an original combination of foam, fur, hot glue and oil pastel, Nate's puppets are like nothing else you've ever seen, while feeling absolutely familiar in the strangest, most ambiguously uncomfortable, comfortability you have ever experienced. Make no mistake and please be warned, these are not like any puppets you've ever seen.
