About the Show
Curriculum Connections: SEL, dealing with change, cave animals, shadow & light
Bats! Fish! Salamanders! Caves are awesome and full of cool creatures and beautiful rocks. And best of all, caves never change — at least that’s what Jamie thinks.
Jamie has a special cave they like to visit when the world becomes too much. There, they are free to play, make up stories, and talk with a friendly Echo, and everything is familiar and as it should be. But one day, change follows them even to the cave, and Echo is missing! When Jamie sets out to get things back to normal, they soon discover that what goes on in their cave is more extraordinary than they ever imagined!
Be among the first to see this world premiere from CactusHead Puppets — known for their delightful shows of mixed puppetry styles, like Magnificent Monster Circus and The Bremen Town Musicians! Using both big and small puppets, a cool cave set piece, shadow puppet bats, and a dash of humor, CactusHead Puppets weaves a tale full of imagination and sweet poignancy about the tricky experience of learning to embrace change.
All ages welcome, especially enjoyed by ages 5 - 9

About the Artist
CactusHead Puppets was started in 2010 by John and Megan Regan. Known for their playful performance style and exuberant creativity, they have created six fun family shows including The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Bremen Town Musicians, and Magnificent Monster Circus. They tour throughout the Northeast and are affiliated artists with the Puppet Showplace Theater. Both Megan and John are graduates of the University of Connecticut's Puppet Arts program, and were interns at Puppet Showplace Theater way back! Megan is originally from the Kansas City area, where she worked with Paul Mesner Puppets, now known as What is Puppets. John is from western Massachusetts, and is honored to be performing in some of the same venues where he saw puppet shows growing up.

There is a $600 minimum to run a field trip. If you are a small group, ask in your request form about dates when another group is already attending to lower your cost, or we suggest coordinating with another teacher to bring multiple classes to the same field trip performance.
