Are you an artist, educator, service provider, or cultural leader dedicated to fostering creative opportunities for individuals with disabilities? Then join us for an invigorating master class and professional networking event with Hijinx Theatre of Wales!
As one of the world’s leading inclusive theater companies, Hijinx’s mission is to pioneer, produce, and promote stunning inclusive theatre—locally, nationally, and internationally. This September, the company is making its U.S. debut with a New England tour of Meet Fred.
Artistic Director Ben Pettit-Wade and the neuro-diverse cast members of Meet Fred will share their company’s unique methodologies for creating and touring professional inclusive theater productions all around the world. Participants will learn about Hijinx’s training academies, ensemble techniques, professional development resources for actors with learning disabilities, and more. We’ll also see how the Hijinx Unity Festival came about as a showcase for the world’s leading inclusive and disability-centered arts companies. Finally, we’ll join together to share our own stories and struggles as we collaboratively envision a Boston-based inclusive arts festival in 2020.
