“While this production was advertised for young children, the creativity and ingenuity of the adaptation had something to offer for everyone.” – The Harvard Crimson
Last month’s performances of Rapunzel by Elizabeth Dapo garnered the attention of The Harvard Crimson!
In a recently-published article, Crimson Staff Writer Shira Parnes praised Elizabeth Dapo’s ability to perform the seven-puppet show solo, as well as the slapstick comedy and Puppet Showplace’s after-show activities!
Highlights included one scene in which an enraged witch chases Rapunzel in what Parnes calls “a comedic Tom-and-Jerry-style chase scene,” and the post-show Q&A with the performer, which Parnes says “enabled a unique theater medium to feel more tangible and inspired a greater appreciation for the expertise.”
