“As evidenced by the giggliness in the room, Dig Down Deep certainly has enough gags, playfulness, and puppetry magic to keep any young audience engaged.”

Last week, children and adults alike gathered at Puppet Showplace Theater to watch preview performances of CactusHead Puppets’ newest show, Dig Down Deep: A Cave Adventure, ahead of the show’s official premiere in November.
Set in a cave full of cool creatures (Bats! Fish! Salamanders!) and featuring a mix of tabletop and shadow puppetry, the new show caught the eye of writer Maegan Bergeron-Clearwood, who reviewed the preview showing in The New England Theatre Geek.
“As artists and arts institutions struggle to secure funding more than ever, Puppet Showplace Theater offers a critically important program: The Incubator for New Works, which provides time, space, and feedback for puppeteers to tinker with new projects,” wrote Bergeron-Clearwood.
